Overview of
Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell
Dye solar cells, which are based on the concept of photo-sensitization of wide band gap mesoporous oxide semiconductors, are now in the state of advanced development and pilot production. This technology is established as a promising low-cost photovoltaic concept. Since Professor Graetzel et al. have reported an impressive energy conversion efficiency of 7.9 % in 1991, tremendous amount of trace experiments have been carried out.
